What should I expect on my first treatment?

The acupuncturist will take an in-depth history.  This is because acupuncture is a holistic practice and your treatment is based on specific patterns in your body that are unique to you.  The first treatment lasts about 90 minutes.  Follow-up treatments last about 60 minutes.  The patient lies on a soft table and relaxing music is played.  The goal is that you are very comfortable during the treatment.
