What happens at the first appointment?

You will be asked to come about 15 minutes early to fill out some initial paperwork (earlier if you have not downloaded the new patient forms off the website).  One of the forms is our policies, also found on the website.  The practitioner you are seeing will then invite you into their office and proceed to find out a bit more about you, your history, why you have come, and how they can help you.  Once you have completed the interview portion, the practitioner will discuss their thoughts with you about how they can help you, programs at The Center for Integrative Health that might benefit you, and any other practitioner that could be a significant part of your healing.  Depending on who you are seeing and your needs, the practitioner might start treatment with you that day or map out a plan for future sessions.  He or she might suggest various tests or assign "homework" of some type to take with you.  We also pride ourselves on education so you will take home knowledge you may not have had before.  Please bring a notebook!
